Google, NASA and Scientists join hands to create Singularity University

Humanity is facing lots of challenges these days and many powerful and rich of the world can realize that and willing to offer their best to find out suitable solution for such challenges. The creation of Singularity University is also a serious endeavor in this connection for which many big players like Google, NASA and well-known scientists have joined hands. The working idea behind this name is singularity which represents a period of rapid technical progress.

The list of people, who have been working for the creation of this Singularity University, is quite impressive. Dr. Ray Kurzweil, Dr. Peter Diamandis, Dr. Robert Richards, Pete Worden are the founder of this Singularity University. Salim Ismail, who was the founder of Yahoo’s well-known Brickhouse team, has been brought on board to run the Singularity.

The university has been modeled after the International Space University and it will expose some state-of-the-art technologies to the world’s promising students and professionals. It will include subjects like networking, genetics, heath, bioinformatics and entrepreneurship.

In the first 3 weeks of every session, the students and professionals will get a basic understanding of various fields and then they will spend three in learning how these fields can be intermixed. In the last three weeks, they will learn how these studies can be applied in solving real world problems.
