Google Earth 5.0 due today

Google Earth 5.0 is being released today. It is expected to expand Google access to beneath the occasions as well as to empty spaces and Mars It will also allow the user to have GPS uploads for free.

The 203D ocean layer is being considered the greatest addition in this software package that will allow the users to access some difficult to access some hidden or difficult to reach parts of the world.

If you are traveling virtually to Hawaii, now you will be able to explore volcanoes under the water and also could watch the videos related to marine life of the region as well.

John Hanke, director of Google Earth and Maps, says, “It was a mistake that we couldn’t include better sights for oceans at the launch of Google Earth, but now this has been addressed in the new version.”

Historical Imagery is another great feature that has been included in it. This feature will allow virtual travelers to go back in time via aerial imagery and archival satellite.

In the previous versions, users couldn’t view more than one set of imagery for some location. Now a time slider has been added in it that will allow users to view old as well as new satellite imagery all around the world.

Some other upgrades have also been introduced in this new version that includes some new features as well like touring features, Mars 3D and GPS Tracking.
