Email is serving humans for about 40 years. All of us like the way all email clients have a typical look, though fancy in many ways. But Google does not think so. According to Google, there must be brought some change in the outlook of email clients. Google thinks that the way email looks today is still that same old appearance. In fact, email is nothing but electronic mail; thus much faster and cheaper than ordinary mails. Therefore, it must look like a faster and much developed mode of transmitting messages. This is why Google is working on its new Google Wave.

Google Wave is going to work in a browser, which is a good thing as no special program will have to be downloaded to use it. Email will work pretty much like Gmail. One will be able to add as many contacts as one wishes as recipients of a Wave. Drag-and-drop of photos and such things will also be available.

Wave is more like a cross over between email and instant messaging. Replies and answers appear instantly like IM. The thread will go on with the conversation. What is unique about this new mail client is that it transmits messages to the next person more quickly than usual IM clients as every word will be sent as it is typed. Surely, it is a feature that must have a power off/on.

Apart from the useful spell-check, Google has introduced an editing feature with which almost every individual present in a conversation can edit the original text. This makes the whole concept quite confusing; let us wait till it appears in front of us for use. Right now, Google is inviting third parties to add features in to the fresh email client.
