The updated browser speeds were released recently by the ZDNet Australia and was measured up using the latest industry-standard SunSpider Java Test. The results of such a test wouldn’t be appreciated by the browser makers like Opera Software and Microsoft.

These were the browsers that showed very less speeds as compared to the other browsers in the same test. Even the open source browsers totally wiped out the proprietary browsers especially when it came to performance, and by an enormous periphery. To elaborate further on the tests, it included the Internet Explorer 8 by Microsoft as the first candidate and then Firefox 3.0, Opera 10.00 also called the Opera Alpha, Chrome 2.0.158.0 as well as the WebKit 40220 developer venture that was added in Chrome as well the Safari by Apple.

Finally, there were results that the Chrome by Google and the Mozilla Firefox were the ones that won the competition and emerged as clear winners.
