Dell Android 2.2 in Korea

Dell has gained much acknowledgment for the exemplary Streak, which has encouraged the company to step into the Phone World properly. Dell has planned to launch an Android version of Dell Venue Pro; a Windows Phone 7 smartphone. The Android based Venue will only be launched in Korea yet, at the end of this month. It has been announced by KT, the Korean mobile network carrier.

Looks are beautiful, with a nice 4.1” AMOLED touchscreen having Gorilla Glass in the front (for protection and safety purposes). It shares its looks with the Venue Pro, except for the slide out keyboard which is absent in the former. It should not matter much, as the Android has a very useful typing app called Swype.

The phone is said to come with Android OS 2.2 (Froyo), for 700,000 KRW (around $ 606). This android version has been awaited for real long; therefore a Korean release does not satisfy us. It is hoped that Dell will make us smile with US and European release announcements pretty soon. Let us wait for few months and see when does the Venue with Android come to our regions.
