The Research in Motion is under the tough times in Saudi Arabia because the government has ordered the suspension of Blackberry through the Kingdom and this order will be implemented from the coming Friday. The reason for this order which has come out up till now is that the blackberry services are not meeting the country’s regulations, according to the country’s telecommunication regulator.
Some of the details of this suspension have been provided by an official Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) that has requested not to be named and according to that the suspension will cover all services including email and instant messaging.
Such kind of reports have also been received from UAE that the blackberry services are not meeting the regulatory requirements, so we can say that RIM is having a very bad time in the Persian Gulf. UAE is suspending the service from October 11 but Saudi Arabia is quite fast in this decision by showing the suspension date to be October 6. The comments on Saudi Arabia’s announcement can’t be obtained from the RIM’s side.
The blackberry service which is going to get blocked includes, blackberry messenger, web browsing, email and we can say that it is going to affect a lot of people who are using the service and with that the great loss will be for the enterprise and RIM must take some action regarding this.
