The assertive and energetic Bartz is now six weeks old in Yahoo as its new boss, and in this short period she seems leaving no stone unturned to bring back the lost glory of the internet pioneer. She is interviewing employees, assessing what’s good and where the problem lies, and now thinking about how she can reorganized its management for better results.
She wants to improve decision making and promote better accountability among Yahoo’s executives and for this very purpose she is expecting a simpler and better management structure in the company. She has already removed Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen from his office and has hired Elise Steele as the company’s new chief marketing officer. They are quite high level actions for better management of the company.
It’s time that will tell how much she succeeded in her efforts to bring back the lost glory of a sinking ship.
