ASUS, the world-leader in digital home solutions, has launched the new ASUS Air 3 Internet radio combined with iPod Dock on Christmas, which incorporates an iPod speaker. An exquisite design stylishly encapsulates the HDSS (High Definition Sound Standard) certified drivers to ensure precision and bass-boosting 36w of music power.
The ETL (Embedded Transmission Line) module is a physical structure inside the chambers within the chambers that boosts sound energy to lessen the obtrusive vibration that otherwise makes listeners feel weary and itchy. ETL enables the AIR3 to provide users with immaculate audio clarity. ETL module in the chamber design is not the only tool the AIR3 uses for sound perfection. TI (Texas Instruments) class-D audio power amplifier TPA3120D2 is yet another tool employed for cinematic audio reproduction. The built-in weather forecast display is for the adventure mongers or simply for anyone keen.
With the arrival of AIR3, many radio enthusiasts forebode 2009 to be ‘the year’ for the internet radio to go mainstream. They are of the view that there are certainly enough functional but affordable products in the market now to facilitate that. Though access to over thousands of stations seems kind of unnecessary especially when somebody wants to tune straight to one’s favorite channels, however, for the more investigative or free surfers, the availability of thousands of global radio stations through their Asus AIR3 is really bound to be a thrilling experience.
As with the launch of every new product, Asus UK holds the pricing and release dates to be announced later, with the AIR3, it’s no exception.

Indeed a real chritmas gift by ASUS.Actually I was looking for the same product but to no avail. Now internet radio and ipod can go hand in hand. But any idea regarding its price?
I am afraid with ETL technology and TI products incorporation, price is likely to be high.
