iPhone 3GS Price Cut

Android phone is the one which has captures the customer’s eyes from the time it was firstly launched in the market. Many companies are competing with each other in the race of Android handsets. And that is the reason Apple has lower its iphone 3G price to $ 99.

The 8GB iPhone is available immediately for $399 in the US through Apple’s retail and online stores and AT&T retail stores. The iPhone 4GB model will be sold while supplies last. Now the question arises why Apple has taken such a big decision in lowering 8GB to $200 and (according to some news media) discontinuing the 4GB model, for the sake of competition Apple can apply some other actions. Was this a bold move or the company was just scared of the increasing popularity of Motorola Droid.

One of the answer could be Apple wanted even more publicity by getting the “early adopters” up in arms about them shelling out $200 extra dollars at launch, then quickly respond to the criticism by offering the $100 rebate. Or they are doing this just because of customers complaints of the iPhone’s high price.

Whatever the reason could be but we can surely say that this action will increase the demand of Apple’s iphone in the market and other android holder companies may suffer if they keep pricing their handsets high.
