Apple iPod Shuffle 3rd Gen 4GB

Apple is quite well-known for the great overhauling of its product and the new 3G iPod shuffle with its minute design is quite an evident proof of this fact. Besides a single switch, you wouldn’t find any physical control or screen on this new 4 GB iPod Shuffle. This time you will find a headphone and an in-line remote to control volume and music tracks, and the new VoiceOver technology is a thing that makes a lot more impressive than its forerunner. This new technology announces artist, song title, playlist name and lots of other information for navigation. However, the most amazing thing is the storage capacity of this tiny device. It will be available in sliver as well as black and if you are willing to relish yourself with some really impressive music, it will set you back in $79.
You will find inline remote of headphones with up and down buttons on each end to up and down the volume. Similarly, it also has a multi-function button in its middle and music can be played and paused with a single click on this button. And if you want to skip to the next track, you need to make a double click and it doesn’t end here, as you can get fancier with a triple click.
You can choose different items that are announced via VoiceOver technology with long pressing some button and whatever you think, VoiceOver seems to kick it quickly and allows you to use buttons to get volume adjustment. It’s, indeed, quite easy to use, but you would find it rather intimidating at first.
When it comes to performance, the iPod Shuffle shows great audio performance and even better than you have experienced in its forerunner as well as many other members of overall iPod family. It has quite lesser distortion than the previous model, but you would find it’s frequency response performance somewhat under the 2nd Gen Shuffle.
The thing that emerges as a weak point of it is its output power, as it indicates troublesome headphones power with great impedance and the given headphones seem to perform quite poorly.
In our tests, the thing that really inspired us was its impressive battery life, according to Apple claims it lasts for ten hours, but it got out of juice in 8hrs and 44 minutes.
Unique Selling Point
- Impressive minute design
- Awesome 4GB storage
- Great battery life
