The android is not a very old operating system for the international mobile phone industry but because of being highly capable system it got a huge round of applause from the mobile markets. A recent analysis by Gartner has shown that the android was the top operating system in the Smartphone sale in US in the second quarter.
This success is not new to the android industry because right from the time of its release this platform is really ruling the mobile phones, the blackberry OS provided by RIM is another leading OS in terms of the sale of Smartphone but according to new estimate it is standing at the second place after Android and at the third place is Apple.

The data showed that about 4.96 million android devices were sold for the quarter and the RIM devices that were sold give a total of 4.84million and then Apple’s 3.22 million. Earlier this year we have seen that the Sale rates were rising were Nokia, Blackberry and Apple and android was not very well known but then came this sudden rise of sale rate that is really surprising.
This was the record that was observed only in the US market and now the RIM’s main ambition will surely be to become the number one mobile selling operating system of the world.
