The primary beta of Microsoft’s subsequent operating system has according to the grapevine been marked in the wild.

Windows 7 was expected to be out in the retail market for the 2009 holiday shopping season, however according to the recent reports; it has emerged on some of the torrent trackers as a file with an iso extension. An executive from ZDNet called Adrian Kingsley-Hughes also reported of owning a copy and has successfully posted his first review on the beta.

On the whole, he concluded that he liked the Windows 7 and considered it to be faster and tougher than the previous versions. However some of the features need to be dealt with in a better way.

The newly revamped taskbar looks alluring and fairly easier to use at comparatively higher resolutions to that of Windows Vista or XP. But, it comes across as a bit too counter intuitive. It makes it almost impossible for the users to figure out the difference between the applications running and the shortcuts on the taskbar.

The latest operating system by Microsoft was demoed at the Professional Developers Conference last month in Los Angeles. The differences between the newly launched Windows 7 and Windows Vista are so small that they can easily go unnoticed. All those who attended this conference got a pre-beta dvd of Windows 7 along with the 160GB hard drive packed with the source code.

It is expected that the Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer would talk about the Windows 7 from a consumer point of view next week at the Consumer Electronics. Microsoft is also going to distribute the beta 1 to all the beta testers in the beginning of January 2009.

Windows 7 is going to be a great operating system from what I’ve read so far. I think that until google makes an operating system (coming to a store near you Q2010) windows 7 should dominate again. Even though windows vista wasn’t a complete disaster I still think microsoft did a smart choice taking it out early.

With MAC OS X advancing presently,I think Microsoft has done a smart work. It will really maintain its dominance in the market but Os by Google will surely be a threat to Windows 7.all the previous features have been dealt in the better way.

Windows 7 is indeed the dream operating system for the Microsoft. But they first need to resolve the issues with Vista.Lot of people who have bought Vista and are not satisfied are not expected to jump into this in the initial step.

The drawbacks of vista have to be neglected keeping in mind the Windows 7 by Microsoft.Even Vista was appreciated by some users as it all depends upon one’s requirements and choices. But Apple’s Mac OS are likely to be in the tough competition with Microsoft’s new product.

I’m looking forward to Windows’ upcoming OS. From what I’ve heard and read (here too), it’s going to be tight. Vista has some problems, so I’m looking forward to seeing how Microsoft has addressed those. But you’ve got to love those gadgets on the desktop! :D
