Amazon has just released a trial version of its Game Download Store in the US that is expected to provide a wide range of new casual games on the internet.

Though profits have plunged considerably in casual games industry in many parts of the world, Amazon looks quite confident to make money from people who want to have a quick game fix in just $6.99 to 9.66.

The nicest feature in this new store would be to have an instant 30-minute try before buying any of these downloadable games.

Greg Hart, Amazon’s vice president for Video games and software, told Kotaku: “casual games are quite according to our demographic, we have around 88m active users who will definitely make the most of this current service.”

According to Hart, the new service may prove something beyond just than the casual games: “We have always been trying to provide the biggest possible selection in the similar passion as we have done with our other boxed games during the last two year.

Nearly 600 games are already available there out of which three will be available for free that include The Scuffs, Build-a-lot and Jewel Quest II.

It has not been confirmed yet whether the service will be launched in the UK as well or it’s only for US Amazon customers.
