Samsung has been leading the race of new Android based cell phone in the US and in many other parts of the world. Today, Verizon Wireless and Samsung Telecommunications America came together to announce the new Droid Charge LTE phone by Samsung. This new LTE phone will be available from April 28 in American market at all Verizon stores and through Verizon Wireless Communication website. Samsung is really looking forward to the success of this cell phone because it has the LTE technology that will help people to make use of their 4G speed to connect to different appliances and even surf the net at lightning fast speeds.
Samsung Droid Charge
Although, it might be the first LTE phone for Samsung this will be the second LTE phone for Verizon after HTC Thunderbolt. Samsung has tried to make this cell phone look better and perform faster than the earlier smartphone models. However, instead of going for the Android 2.3 Gingerbread, Samsung has gone ahead with the much popular Android 2.2 which is powered by 1 GHz processor. The best feature of Droid Charge is the huge 4.3 inch Super AMOLED screen which take all the attention because it will look much better in color and contrast. This cell phone also has 8 mega pixel rear facing camera and 1.3 mega pixel camera in the front for video chatting.
Samsung Droid Charge’s browser will also support Adobe Flash and will be loaded with Samsung Media Hub for different applications. Verizon claims that when customers will use their 4G LTE network they can access the information at 5 to 12 Mbps and upload information at 2 to 5 Mbps speed depending on broadband area coverage. It will also have the mobile hotspot mode where you can connect Droid Charge with 10 different Wi-Fi enabled devices to make optimum use of 4G speeds. The Droid Charge will also have virtual QWERTY keyboard incorporated with Swype technology. To get Droid Charge customers will have to go for Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan and a 4G LTE package that will enable to get the speeds that are mentioned.
