Acer to release Android-powered handset late this year

World’s renowned PC maker Acer Inc. has confirmed that will introduce an Android-powered handset late this year. The announcement came from the Acer’s phone unit head this Wednesday. The company considering launching 10 new models and only one out of them will be available with Windows Mobile software.
Acer is quite a renowned name in PC world, but now it is looking to push its share in rapidly growing smartphone market.
Previously, there were rumors that Acer would come up with an Android powered handset in September this year and now these rumors seem to turn into realities and the company has confirmed that the arrival of the phone is due this year.
De Lenquesaing, Acer’s phone unite head says that they will come up with an astounding Android-powered handset that will house some really captivating features and you will find all what you are expecting from popularly growing Android OS. The option is becoming increasingly popular for public as well as for the companies.
The Google powered mobile operating system has seen some good sales up till now and there are many new phone in pipe line that are expected to come up with that option.
It’s not Acer only that wants to take its share from the growing smartphone market, as many other PC makers and traditional phone makerslike HP, Dell, Lenovo and Asustek have been eyeing on the growing market for quite some time.
