With the end of 2008, we got to see the hints of the latest developmental branch of the Android, popularly known as the “Cupcake”. The users are expecting more of the video recording, stereo Bluetooth compatibility as well as the copy and paste supports. There is no word out from the manufacturers as to when we would expect to see this drop on the devices, however they aren’t making any promises that any particular feature would make it on any given handset – whatever feature it is either G1 or any other future release. However with the CupCake branch claiming to be at a reasonably steady point, it would begin to show some of its tricks and we tried to have a review of what has it developed so far.
Quite a few of the biggest features along with those mentioned above and are yet to make it in the Android SDK emulator. The changes that have been made so far are the firmware version 1.5, the onscreen keyboard that has been included for the portrait mode and it allows the users to type with the touchscreen. There are two other applications that are believed to be included have still not been installed, however it may be possible that we get to see these features in the final version or they may perhaps be only demo applications.
