Brits really have a sound installment base for PSPs, Wiis, DSes, 360s and PS3s and the latest figures are quite enough to prove that. According to some reports nearly 24.2m new-gen games consoles have been sold in the UK since 2006, the time when the first X360 was launched.

During the last month, ten million units of DS sales were recorded following Sony’s PSP that saw the sales of 3.3m units to date.
In UK, Wii has emerged as the biggest selling home consoles that were sold 5.4 million to date after Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony’s PS3 that saw 3.9m and 2.2m units’ sales respectively.
Peter Lewis, Game chairman says that in UK there was a 54% increase in the ownership of the third generation hardware during the past one year.
