2010 World Cup

As the 2010’s world cup is arriving plans have started for its preparations and broadcasting, among those plans it has been seen that Sony and FIFA have signed a deal which reveals that the 2010 world cup will be recorded and broadcasted in 3D.

This is in fact the greatest achievement on the behalf of Sony as the 25 of the world cup games will be recorded on Sony’s cameras and will be shown at special ‘Fan feast’ locations around the whole world.  And because of all this the football lovers in the seven cities will have a chance to see the 3D football during the tournament and nest summer with London among the venues.

It has also been planned that an official film of the whole tournament will also be made and it would also be in 3D. And this 3D video film will be trailed in the shops before the official 3D blue ray disc release next year.

At a media briefing Fujio Nishida, President of Sony Europe said that “At Sony, the 3D entertainment experience will not only focus on the 3D TV alone, but from 2010 will also encompass a range of 3D compatible products such as Blu-ray Disc players, VAIO notebook computers and PlayStation 3”. So the overall projects seem very exciting on Sony’s behalf and the expected 3D editions will definitely take movie making on new heights.
