The 2009 Ford Flex is impressive from outside as well as from inside and you wouldn’t sense it just like any other thing that you can see on the roads nowadays. Inside, you will find pierced leather in first and in the second row seats. Footrests for the second row seats, wood inlay, ambient lighting and Ford’s well known Sync system.
A 3.5-liter Duratec V6 24-valve engine has been in all the lines and it produces 262hp at 6249rpm and torque of 248 lb-ft at 4500rpm. For its FWD models, it has 16mpg city and 24mpg highway fuel economy while it is 17 and 22 respectively for its AWD models.
Some delicate but stylish strokes have been offered to make its interior deign more charming than ever before. There are chrome accents on door pulls, shift knob, cupholder rings and air vents The Flex also features some most advanced technologies including SIRIUS Travel Link which offers a lot of info related to weather, real-time traffic, movie times, gas prices and sports scores.
The Flex feels quite composed and confident on the city roads and suburban streets. It provides smooth ride on highways with responsive steering and quietness. But meandering coastal canyons often come as a big challenge for this bulky ride. But with its powerful engine 4-WD, it faces these challenges with a lion heart in that twisty ways.
