It was in 2007, when Acura first introduced this miniature crossover. We can call Acura MDX its big bro. But when it’s about performance and handling, it is somewhat like of Acura TSX sports sedan.
The 2009 Acura RDX is an all-wheel drive that has a 2.3-lit, 240hp turbo engine and it is spacious enough to house five passengers. Its suggested retail price is $37,755.
Its turbocharged engine is nice in offering quick response with it’s specific flow-changing turbocharger design that makes it even better than a 6-cylinder engine and gives it a lot better assistance in quick acceleration, passing and climbing hill.

As far as safety and reliability is concerned, it has 4-wheel hefty disc brakes with a four-wheel Anti-lock Braking System along with Brake Assist and EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution). Its hood and other apparatus have been especially designed that minimize the chances of injury if frontal collision occurs. There is a child-seat mounting system as well.
As far as price is concerned, it is somewhat higher compared to the other smaller crossovers, as you may have to pay more for its reliable name, most advanced technological features and its turbo engine. No doubt, it is one of the fastest and technically most advanced crossovers available in the market.
When its about performance and activity, its engine shows similar passing and climbing power as of a 6-cylinder engine and the road noise is also quite low.
Gas has been sited for cities as 17 miles per gallon and for highways 22 miles per gallon and on average 19-mpg, but any turbo engine for AWD consumes gas quite quickly.
The vehicle is no doubt rather unique as it shows good consideration for some consumer issues. You would find a high-up seating that are found in a SUV with the looks of a miniature crossover much alike of a sporty sedan.
