Due to its comfortable cabin and robust towing capabilities it is one of the most favorite among many SUVs lover. It is a full size SUV. It can accommodate up to 9 passengers. Driving is very comfortable and smooth on any road conditions. As per the design is concern, a little demerit is that the third-row seat does not fold flat and hence it has to be removed.
There is not much changes in 2008 Yukon as compared to the last year’s design is concern. Here are few changes that are being made to Yukon model:
- The 40/20/40-split front bench seat gets built-in storage compartments.
- OnStar turn-by-turn navigation becomes standard on the SLT trim.
- The side-curtain airbags are made standard across the board.
It is just great for the big families who require a spacious and relaxing full size SUV. It is of great use for towing and other heavy tasks. It meets up most of the demands of everyday needs of a family. If you compared its overall size with another similar model Yukon XL, it is few feet shorter. For this reason it is little easier to handle it while moving or turning and even during parking in the cities and suburban.
The 2008 GMC Yukon offers two main trim levels namely base SLE and ultra-plush Denali. The SLE level comes with the following features in it:
- 17-inch alloy wheels
- Fog lamps
- Six-way power driver seat
- Full power accessories
- Front bucket seats with a console
- Trip computer
- OnStar telematics
- Keyless entry
- Eight-speaker CD audio system with satellite radio
- Dual-zone air-conditioning
- Auxiliary input jack and rear-seat controls.
Maximum features in case of Denali are optional. The options for both trim levels also includes a power folding second row seats, navigation system, rear-seat DVD entertainment system, 20-inch wheels and rearview camera. Yukon Denali has a very exclusive feature of a heated steering wheel.
Yukon SLEs comes with two-wheel-drive with 3SA package and 4.8-liter V8 with 295 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque while other Yukon SLE models have 5.3-liter V8 (320 hp and 340 lb-ft); however it optional in case of 2WD SLE 3SA.
Yukon Denali offers 6.2-liter V8 (380 hp and 415 lb-ft) with a six-speed automatic transmission in a manual-shift mode. Denali’s are well equipped with all-wheel drive.
Driving a GMC Yukon is really very quite in any road conditions. It is all possible because of the suspension available which smoothens up whenever there is a bump. It is also comfortable to drive it in a busiest street of cities or suburban as compared to many of its competitors.

Just another awesome product information/review with comprehensive details. I’m impressed with GMC’s Yukon SUV features and capabilites. Wow, I would indeed like to own one. Everything seems to be perfect features except that I don’t actually like the idea of the third-row seat which needs to be removed because it doesn’t fold flat. But overall, this seems to be such a good product for me.
