old LaptopImagine the world turning the old space occupying x86s computers to slim and shinny stylish looking laptops which you can easily hang on your shoulder and its not only the style but also the speed, passion, the fast running processors and OS but what if your laptop has got older and lost its style and need a costly update which is not possible for most of hardware. Are you thinking to smash it to pieces and last place for it is the bin outside your house? Stop! Don’t do that. It’s much useful machine in many ways. Here are some cool ways that can bring back life to your laptop.

1. If you are fed up with the sluggish performance of your laptop that is having win XP on it. Simply roll back win XP and have faster fun with puppy Linux with s system of 97MB. Still not satisfied, you can use damn small Linux with a system of less than 50MB and can run on a machine with minimum 16MB of memory.

2. I think its better having some hundred bugs for your old laptop instead of consigning it to the bin. Laptop recycler services are provided for this not only because of great demand for used  laptops instead of costly new ones but also for controlling the pollution and hazards caused by disposal of electronics. So have some cash for your trash.

3. Your machine can’t bear your official load or is not good enough for your practical works. Then why not have a mini theater in your living room. Connect the laptop with your sound system and a have a cool multimedia system. Enjoy watching movies and DVDs with boosted sound and invite your friends midnight rap parties.

4. Did you ever imagine you can have a high tech security system at your home? Connect the wireless cameras at the entrance of your house with your laptop and monitor the activities. You can leave it on recording while away from your home. So your old laptop can now serve as your security officer.

5. Are you missing you dying grandmother or friends or family members that are far away from your approach? Get a webcam, a microphone and WLAN or DSL and get connected with your closed ones. Have a video conference and share some words. Thanks oldie for gifting those moments.

6. You can give your old machine for a worthy cause. Many charities and organizations take these laptops and use them for some good cause. That’s really a nice donation. So check out the following links for a list of organizations.

7. Why buy some costly Xbox and other gaming devices. Instead you can use your old laptop as a good gaming console in your living room. Software like bleem and play station emulator can run games on your laptop that are specially designed for Xbox and play stations. So give your living room a new gift of gaming console with all old things.

8. Do you have any hesitation in wrecking your old laptop for some good reason? For me it’s better than consigning it to the bin. What you have to do is just bend backward the screen of your oldie and you can have a nice and improved digital photo frame. Much better in many ways than a digital photo frames that cost $100 and above with not much good quality of colors. You can use the already loaded photos or you can also get an unlimited online collection with eyes licking color quality. You can also use attention gaining screensavers.

9. O mighty! You smashed your laptop. Is it useless now? Obviously not. You can have some cash of these pieces. Pull out the hard drive, optical drive. Check for RAM cards and some networking devices and you can sell them on Ebay.com.

10. The laptop screen can be used as an additional monitor or a flat screen TV by connecting it with some external devices like external TV cards that cost for nothing. Much worthy than costly flat screen television.
