What are the best Windows 8 tablets in the market right now? Well, I have narrowed the list down to top ten. These are not ranked as such, but it’s a list of the existing best tablets having windows 8.

1) Asus transformer Book T100TA (64 GB)

Now this tablet is currently priced at $399. It is a fully functional 8.1 hybrid. In an affordable price you get a bright screen, no such compatibility issues (that seem to occur from time to time in other PC’s or tablets having mobile O.S).

Pros

It can efficiently run all the available Windows 8 programs. It has a battery life of 11 hours. It has micro USB charging (which comes handy). The keyboard has a trackpad and the USB port is included. 2.Ghz and 5Ghz of Wi-Fi is inclusive and on top of it all,  you get 1 TB of cloud storage (included) for a good one year.

Cons

As far as the system memory is concerned, it only has 2 GB. The trackpad is touchy and the keyboard size is smaller than usual. The charging time is slow and long. And there is only 31 GB of free space on the SSD.

2) Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1

This is a 10.1 inch tablet which has rightly earned its name of being ‘tough’. It is currently priced at $2280. The design and the rugged build are two things that this tablet is known for. The battery run time is of 8 hours. It is an ideal tablet for outdoor scenarios.

Pros

It is lightweight, has a bright display and the rugged design makes it all too appealing. It has an amazing performance and the stylus is just perfect for the tablet. Over all, it is quite flexible. Three things that the tablet gets most points for are, portability, durability and performance.

Cons

It has no finger print reader and the bottom of it can get pretty hot. It can quite bulky and can get quite noisy when the fan starts to work. The battery life is moderate and the camera is of low configuration.

3) Razer Edge Pro

Known as the ultimate game tablet,  it is designed specifically for gamers who would like to play on PC games. It is currently priced at $1449. It is basically a tablet, a console and a pc all in one.  The design is quite innovative and different. It has Nvidia mobile graphics. The flexible tablet lets you play your game from anywhere. It has strong components, consisting of an Intel Core 17 processor.

Pros

It has a striking design, an amazing gaming performance. The innovatively designed peripherals give it a ‘cool’ look.  And the fact that it’s portable makes it a must have!

Cons

The display is not all that great and it makes a clunky noise from time to time. It is quite expensive, and is dependent on add-ons. It even has a poor battery life.

4) Dell Venue 8 Pro,

This small tablet is priced at $299. It was released into the market as an entry level tablet. It definitely is a good replacement for tablets that come under,  iPad and Google nexus.

It is quite small, which makes it easier to travel with. It has excellent battery life and is quite easy to hold and use. It has an extremely affordable price and comes with USB charging. It seems to be brilliant, for portability.

Cons

The stylus does not seem to be very accurate. After the initial set up, there is only free space of 11 GB. It has no HDMI or Display Port. There is also no docking keyboard option.

5) Sony Vaio Tap 11

It is currently priced at $1099. It the best-looking tablet that you will have around. You will definitely find the tablet attractive however the performance, not so much.

The tablet is slim and stylish and has a wireless keyboard cover. It has a kickstand which is adjustable. It includes a digitizer pen for jotting down handwritten notes and apps. It has a pen compatible screen clipping as well.

Cons

Its performance is not that great and has a moderate battery life.

6) Microsoft Surface Pro 2

People are still debating over the fact if the Surface Pro 2 was meant to be a Laptop or a tablet with a detachable keyboard. Surface Pro 2 is actually able to address many of the concerns that were raised in the previous original model. Its price at Amazon is $1112.

It has an attractive design, and a well built hardware. It has a great display and amazing performance. Even replacement of tablet screens is also not very expensive in this model.The battery life is quite good as well.

Cons

It is considered quite heavy to be used as a tablet. The typing experience is not all that great.

7) Nokia Lumia 2520

It is the first tablet generated by Nokia. The tablet has an extremely bold styling. It performs quite well as a tablet and comes with a lot of connectivity. It is currently priced at $499.

Cons

The camera is quite slow, and is quite big to hold which gives it a cartoonish look. The build is thick and heavy and the touchpad design is flawed.

It is a tablet that could be priced at a more affordable price.  If you simply want entertainment and just want to get done with work, then this one of the many options that you have out there. This is an 11.6 inch tablet and is currently priced at, $479.

It is lightweight. It has a long battery life, and a solid performance. The bright display is the cherry on top and comprises of two USB ports on the dock of the keyboard.

Cons

It has a plastic build that gives it a cheap feeling. There is no slot for the SD card on the dock. The keyboard dock adds $129 on top.

9) Dell Latitude 10

The latitude 10 seems to stand out due to the accessories rather than the design. It is quite plain looking but has a glossy front panel with a 2 mega pixel web cam at the back. It is currently priced at $349.

It has an extremely good battery life. The peripherals on this tablet are quite amazing and the building quality of it is decent.

Cons

Many people will find it to be expensive for the features that are available on this tablet. Its hardware still needs some improvement. Over all, it’s not a bad tablet by Dell.

10) Hp ElitePad 900

Now, this tablet was made specifically for business purposes. It’s well built and has a decent battery life. This tablet is a combination of a basic Atom-based tablet and a range of optional extras which makes it slightly expensive. Its price at the moment is, $649.

Its built is quite nice. It has good battery life. It is quite easy, comfortable and sleek to hold and use. It even has mobile broadband options.

Cons

Certain accessories add to cost, which make it more expensive. There is little scope of expanding within the tablet without the use of any accessories. Its performance is rated as dull.
